About The Samoset Retreat
The Samoset Retreat is a contemporary home located on Glen Cove in East Boothbay, Maine. Rentals are available year-round. The cottage, located in a very private and quiet setting, offers an open layout which is both bright and comforting. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and a queen-size futon with its own bathroom and a private deck. There are also two other bedrooms (each with a full size bed), an additional bathroom and one more private deck.
From the two decks - both overlooking the water - you can relax and watch bald eagles, ospreys, herons, and other shore birds ... or just enjoy the tide going in and out. Also on the property is a private dock with a kayak and a rowboat for your enjoyment. A two minute walk will take you to the lobster pound and the picturesque harbor where you can watch the lobstermen hauling in their traps. The two mile loop - a scenic walk with wonderful water views - is right out the front door.

The Samoset Retreat is a five minute walk away from the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean, where Little River and the Damariscotta River meet.
Boothbay Harbor is an easy ten minute drive where you will find many restaurants, shops, galleries, harbor cruises and services. Freeport, Camden, and Arcadia National Park are all a short drive away.
